"Property Damage"

We park our vehicles in front of our company offices. One Friday afternoon a storm came up and my and everyone else's vehicles were damaged by Hail.

I took my vehicle in for repairs as I had some rear view mirors were damaged that made it a safety risk for me to drive and asked management to assist me with transport to my place of work. They refused indicating that it was not company policy to provide employees with transport.

Two weeks after this one of the other employees took her vehicle in for repairs and she was granted a vehicle.

When I addressed this with out manger I was told in so many words that I am not entitled to any benefits and that she would decide who is granted what and if I am not happy with this I can put in my resignation and leave. Plus I have to have monies deducted from my salary because I could not get to work on the first day after my vehicle was handed in for repairs.

Is this treatment fair?
