Labour and HR Club Q&A
"EEA2 Section D"
“…Please report the total number of people including people with disabilities, who received training ONLY for the purpose of achieving the numerical goals…”
My personal opinion is that what you report on in your WSP / ATR is different to the Annual EE report in that for the EEA2 you only record training interventions that was geared to achieving your numerical goals. My understanding of EE is to address under-representation and my numerical goals is therefore directly linked to correcting these under representations. Therefore, if Black Males and Females are under-represented on Junior Management (i.e. only 3 African Males and my goal for the next reporting period is to have 6 African Males) and I train my Semi-Skilled staff on Supervisory Management this might assist our staff to apply for higher positions and therefore address the under-representation so I will specifically record this training in my EEA2. But If I employee new staff and put them through our standard one day induction this would not address the under-representation, the same with Fire Fighting and First Aid training irrespective if training is accredited or not?
Am I too sensitive in terms of what should be included in the EE report or can we just take ALL training…
