Labour and HR Club Q&A
I hope you could assist.
I work in the Retail Motor Industry, Our company is registered under RMI, MIBCO.
According to what I have learned from my employer. I have no real sick leave or medical aid.
For example: If I am off sick for 3 days, I would have to go see the doctor to get a sick note, understandable. Because I have no medical aid at work, I need to pay the doctor. Then When pay day comes, they only cover 75 % of my wages. Which means more money from me.
If I ever became very ill, say for a week, I will lose a significant amount of money and would not be able to pay my bills.
Can this really be the case? I find it hard to believe that this is fair at all
