I was offered a bursary and study leave for year by my employer. I was full time in school as a result quarterly work performance evaluations could not be carried out. I performed well at school for every assignment, test and examinations, I even managed to obtain the qualification I was sent for. Now my employer say I do not qualify for pay progression because my work performance was not assessed/evaluated since I was away on study leave. My argument here is that of course I could not be assessed on work performance but my academic performance should be considered because that is where I was and the fact that I brought back the qualification, do I have a recourse?
