"Trade - organisational rights/duties"
Is there any guide or law which stipulates what "time" should be granted for Shop Stewards to perform there duties?
We are a Chapter 3 Component Manufacturer who falls under MIBCO, the Shop Stewards are "demanding" time away from production to train staff on what the company policies are/mean and what is expected of them as "workers".
This has not been granted, as that is HR Function and Production Management Team function.
Shop Stewards are also requesting time to read minutes of meetings and refuse to do anything during their own time.
Could anyone offer some advise or confirm what is considered to be reasonable?
